PA glorifies prisoners and their crimes as “legitimate struggle against the occupation”
“The [PA] Ministry of Information emphasized that the release of 26 fighters by the occupation represents the beginning of the freedom to which our people adhere so that it will reach all of our brave prisoners. In an announcement published yesterday [Aug. 14, 2013] the [PA] Ministry [of Information] said that the occupation’s attempts to lessen our happiness over the release of our Knights of Freedom, among them 17 who were serving life sentences, will not stop our efforts to release the prisoners and our adherence to this, without any conditions, limitations or discrimination. It [the Ministry] called on our people to attend these heroes’ reception in a way befitting their struggle and sacrifice, and urged the media to report the stories of those released, because they are a prominent symbol in our people’s legitimate journey of struggle against the occupation.”
