Israel seeks to “demolish” Al-Aqsa Mosque and build “the alleged Temple in its place”
“In an announcement issued on his behalf, President of the Supreme Islamic Court and Chairman of the Supreme Council of Islamic Law, Sheikh Yusuf Ida'is called for the residents of Jerusalem and the Palestinian territories occupied in 1948 (i.e., Israel) to approach the Al-Aqsa Mosque. This [should be done] to remove the blockade laid on the Ribat fighters (Arabic: Murabitun, people carrying our Ribat – religious conflict/war over land claimed to be Islamic) whom the Israeli occupation held inside after its gates were locked with chains.
His honor warned that; ‘The occupation state is trying to exploit the situation in the region, because it sees this to be the right moment to assault Islam’s and Christianity’s holy places – specifically the Al-Aqsa Mosque – in an attempt to create faits accomplis and thus achieve its desired goal: partitioning the Al-Aqsa Mosque as the Ibrahimi Mosque (the Cave of the Patriarchs) [as a step] towards demolishing it and building the alleged Temple in its place.’”

Note: Like the Temple Mount where the Al-Aqsa Mosque is located, the Cave of the Patriarchs in Hebron is administered by the Muslim waqf. For 700 years Jews were denied access to the Cave, and were not allowed to come any closer than the seventh step outside the building. Since the Six-Day-War of 1967 Jews have been allowed to enter the building, but Jewish prayer there is still restricted.
