PA TV film propagates libel that Israel set fire to Al-Aqsa Mosque in 1969
Film on PA TV entitled “The religious, tourist city in the vicinity of the Al-Aqsa Mosque”:
Film narrator: “Since occupying Eastern Jerusalem in 1967, Israel began to implement a policy of establishing faits accomplis while also dictating a religious Israeli narrative, the main feature [of which] is burning and destroying the holy city’s prominent Muslim characteristics. In 1969, it attempted to burn the Al-Aqsa Mosque.”
Film narrator: “The occupation’s authorities are working to connect the Roman tunnel to the religious centers and the tourist centers built by Israel in the present era beneath the Al-Aqsa plaza, as preparation for building an infrastructure to be ready before the Al-Aqsa Mosque is destroyed and the alleged Temple is built.”
Note: The fire in the Al-Aqsa Mosque in 1969 was started by a deranged Australian Christian, but the Palestinian Authority has consistently attributed it to Israel.
