“The PA announced yesterday that it has received €52 million ($71,640,400) in financial aid from the European Union, after a meeting in Brussels between Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah and High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy for the Union, Catherine Ashton. Hamdallah said in a press release [issued by] his office: ‘This amount will be allocated for projects being carried out by the private sector aimed at creating new jobs – especially in the city of Jerusalem, for financing small investment initiatives in a few local councils, for building a new water station in Nablus.’”
