PA meeting chaired by Hamdallah: Israel attempts to build the “alleged Temple” over Al-Aqsa Mosque

Headline: “[PA] government warns of Israeli attempts to partition the Al-Aqsa Mosque”
“During the 15th government’s recent meeting, chaired yesterday [Sept. 17, 2013] by transitional Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah, the government warned of the Israeli government’s persistence, stubbornness and scorn, in its allowing settler organizations to invade the Al-Aqsa Mosque and defile it. It said that the purpose of a series of invasions, violations and the daily trespass by radical settler gangs under the protection and cover of the occupation’s forces, is to divide the Al-Aqsa Mosque between Muslims and Jews, as part of Israel’s frantic attempts to build the alleged Temple in place of the Al-Aqsa Mosque.”

Note: The PA considers any presence of Jews on the Temple Mount an "invasion." However, all visitors are subject to rigorous security checks by Israeli security guards before being granted access to the Temple Mount.
