Song promoting violence at memorial under auspices of Abbas
PA TV broadcast a rally under the auspices of Abbas marking the 32rd anniversary of the death of senior Fatah and PLO leader in 1970s Majed Abu Sharar. The rally was attended by PA and Fatah officials, among them: PA Minister of Culture Anwar Abu Aisha, member of Fatah Central Committee Jamal Muhaisen, and Mayor of Al-Dura Samir Al-Namura. The National Security Artistic Band performs “My weapon has emerged":
Sign: "Memorial under the auspices of Mahmoud Abbas, President of Palestine and Chairman of Fatah's Central Committee”
Song lyrics:
"From my wounds, my weapon has emerged.
Oh, our revolution, my weapon has emerged.
There is no force in the world that can remove the weapon from my hand.
From my wounds, my weapon has emerged.
Oh, our revolution, my weapon has emerged.
There is no force in the world that can remove the weapon from my hand.
My weapon has emerged. My weapon has emerged.
This revolutionary people has sacrificed and offered in order to live in freedom!
My weapon has emerged.”
The longer version of this song ends:
"He who offers his blood doesn’t care
if his blood flows upon the ground.
As the weapon of the revolution is in my hand,
so my presence will be forced [upon Israel].
My weapon has emerged. My weapon has emerged."
