Abbas: Terrorist planner of bus attack is the “dear son… murdered in cold blood”
“President of the State of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas conveyed his condolences over the Martyrdom death of fighter Muhammad Asi whom the occupation forces murdered in cold blood two days ago [Oct. 22, 2013].
In his telegram to the Asi family, the President said: ‘[It was] with great pain that we received the news of the Martyrdom death of the dear son, the deceased fighter Muhammad Asi, who was murdered in cold blood by the occupation army’s murdering gangs... We declare before you that the occupation’s crimes will not frighten our people and that the Martyrs’ blood is not spilled in vain.’
On the same matter, Secretary-General of the Presidential Office Tayeb Abd Al-Rahim conveyed his condolences over Asi’s Martyrdom death in a telegram to the Asi family in which he condemned the daily crimes committed by the occupation against our people. Likewise, Head of the President's Office Hussein Al-A’araj conveyed his condolences over Asi’s Martyrdom death. He asserted that the occupation’s crimes will not prevent our people from continuing the struggle until freedom and independence [are achieved].”

Note: Muhammad Asi – one of the planners of a terror attack on a Tel Aviv bus in which approximately 30 people were wounded. The attack occurred during Israel’s Pillar of Defense operation, which was aimed at destroying Hamas’ terror infrastructure in the Gaza Strip (Nov. 14-21, 2012). Asi was killed during an exchange of fire with the Israeli army forces that came to detain him on October 22, 2013.
