Fatah honors released prisoner who murdered 2
PA TV’s program In a Fighter’s Home broadcast a visit of a delegation of Druze from the Golan Heights to the home of Othman Bani Hassan, one of the recently released pre-Oslo prisoners. A large sign with Bani Hassan’s picture is shown hanging outside the house.
Text on the sign: “The Palestinian National Liberation Movement, Fatah, Jenin District, sends greetings to the released prisoner, the national leader from Fatah, General Othman Abdullah Bani Hassan, after his having spent 29 years in Zionist captivity. The [Fatah] Mobilization and Organization Commission.”
Note: Othman Bani Hassan – he and accomplice Hazza Al-Sa’adi murdered Yosef Eliahu and Leah Elmakais while they were hiking on Mount Gilboa (July 21, 1985). He was sentenced to life in prison, but was released from prison in October 2013 one of 104 terrorists whom Israel agreed to release to fulfill the PA's precondition for renewing negotiations.
