PA official: Jews have no historical rights in the region

“Mayor of Bruqin, attorney Nafez Barakat, said that… the name of the settlement [called] ‘Brukhin’ was taken from the [Arab] village of Bruqin in a disgraceful act of falsification and name-manipulation by settlers. [This is done] for the purpose of deluding themselves [into believing] that they have historical rights in the region, just as they claim that the Temple Mount was located where the Al-Aqsa Mosque is.”
