At a PA event under the auspices of Abbas, PA Minister of Culture Anwar Abu Aisha honored released terrorists by awarding them PA plaques of honor. The plaques showed a map of "Palestine," denying the existence of Israel. The terrorists were released in October 2013, part of a group of 104 terrorists whom Israel agreed to release to fulfill the PA's precondition for renewing negotiations. The honored terrorists included Asrar Samrin, whowas serving a life sentence for the murder of Israeli citizen Tzvi Klein (Dec. 3,1991), as well as Muhammad Nasr and Rafe' Karajeh, who murdered reserve soldier Aharon Avidar in a Ramallah market in February 1985.
