PA official honors 3 released murderers with visits
PA TV program For You showed District Governor of Ramallah and El-Bireh Laila Ghannam visiting released terrorists Afu Shuqeir and Abd Al-Rahman Al-Haj. Ghannam also visited the mother of terrorist Rami Khanfar.
Notes: Afu Shuqeir – participated in the kidnapping and murder of Israeli soldier Akiva Shaltiel in 1985. He was serving a life sentence but was released in October 2013 as one of 104 terrorists whom Israel agreed to release to fulfill the PA's precondition for renewing negotiations.
Abd Al-Rahman Yusuf Mahmoud Al-Haj – serving a life sentence and an additional 20 years for stabbing 41-year-old Gania Friedman to death and attempting to murder her father and daughter on Feb. 21, 1992 in a suburb of Tel Aviv. Al-Haj was released in October 2013 as one of 104 terrorists whom Israel agreed to release to fulfill the PA's precondition for renewing negotiations.
Rami Khanfar – serving a 15 year prison sentence for attempting to plant a bomb in 2001 and for firing at Israeli targets in 2000.
