Israeli Arab Hadash party delegation: Israel is “the Interior” and Palestinians are “owners of the land”

“Jenin District Governor Talal Dweikat received a delegation from the [Israeli-Arab political party] Hadash’s Teachers’ Faction yesterday [Dec. 29, 2013] in the district offices… Secretary of the Hadash [Teachers’] Faction Sa’id Yassin… said: ‘We in the Palestinian Interior (i.e., Israel) experience the occupation’s racist steps, first among them [the demand to recognize] the state’s Jewish character. This is a red line because we are the owners of the land.’”
