Official PA TV: Beating man to death with shovel is “a brave operation”
PA TV program Palestine This Morning broadcast from the Gaza Strip and interviewed Fatah representative in the Prisoners’ Committee in Gaza Nash’at Al-Wahidi.
Fatah representative in the Prisoners’ Committee in Gaza Nash’at Al-Wahidi: “A few prisoners’ families hoped that this phase would include their sons’ names, I will mention as an example Mrs. Um Diya Al-Agha, the mother of two prisoners. Her son Diya has been imprisoned since Oct. 10, 1992, and this heroic leader is the revolutionary [who sparked] the solitary Martyrs [phenomenon] (i.e., when a person decides to carry out a terror attack independently and is not a member of any organization) in a brave operation (i.e., terror attack) for freedom, for loyalty to the land.”
Note: Diya Zakariya Shaker Al-Agha "Al-Faluji" - serving a life sentence for beating Israeli citizen Amatzia Ben Haim to death with a shovel in the Gaza Strip (Oct. 11, 1992).
In August 2013, Israel agreed to release 104 Palestinian terrorists from prison, which was the PA's precondition for renewing peace talks. The terrorists were released in stages. The first group of 26 was released on Aug. 13, 2013. The second group of 26 was released on Oct. 30, 2013. The third group of 26 was released on Dec. 30, 2013.
