Abbas expresses hope for peaceful Muslim/Jewish coexistence

The President [Mahmoud Abbas] expressed his hopes that the efforts invested by the American side would bear fruit and he noted that they are great [efforts], saying: ‘We hope that these efforts will produce what we and all the region’s nations want – to live in security and stability, just as the Muslim lives with the Christian in our society and that so too he will live with the Jew.’"
