Holocaust denial: PA TV program compares Nazi Germany’s crime against the Jews to Britain’s “crime” of issuing Balfour Declaration
Official PA TV program Palestine This Morning from Gaza, on the public campaign to sue Britain over the Balfour Declaration. The program hosted the campaign’s coordinator in Gaza, Muhammad Al- Makadmeh.
Campaign coordinator Muhammad Al-Makadmeh: “To this very day, Germany still pays money to the State of Israel, even though it did nothing to the State of Israel. PA TV host [interrupting him]: “If so, we can compare [Israel’s] attitude [towards Germany] to our attitude towards Britain, and blame it for the Balfour Promise (Declaration); so that [the British] may feel guilty for what their fathers did.”
Al-Makadmeh: “[Britain] should feel guilty, because it truly committed a crime against us: It issued a decree in a place it had a mandate over, and promised this land to the Jews.”
PA TV host: “A promise given by those who did not own [the land] to those who had no right [to it] (i.e., the Jews).
Note: The Balfour Declaration of Nov. 2, 1917 was a letter from British Foreign Secretary Arthur Balfour to Baron Rothschild, stating that “His Majesty's government view with favour the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people” and is seen as the basis for later international commitments to establish the State of Israel.
