Documentary on PA TV: Arch-terrorist responsible for 125 deaths is the "Prince of Martyrs"
PA TV program A Creator and Time hosted journalist Abdallah Rayan and director Sabber Masalmah to discuss their documentary film about terrorist Khalil Al-Wazir, ‘Abu Jihad.’
Opening of documentary film about Abu Jihad: “Martyr (Shahid) Khalil Al-Wazir, Abu Jihad, engineer of the Intifada and Prince of Martyrs – the architect of the first Palestinian Intifada (i.e., the first Palestinian wave of violence against Israel, 1988-1993). The hardest core of all Palestinian factions, a symbol of defiance against the Israeli occupation generals and the wall of national and military action; a field commander untroubled by threats and a supporter of all revolutions for liberation in the world; the greatest school of struggle, from which the greatest fighters emerged.”
Abu Jihad (Khalil Al-Wazir) was a founder of Fatah and deputy to Yasser Arafat. He headed the PLO terror organization's military wing and planned many deadly Fatah terror attacks. These attacks, which killed a total of 125 people, included the most lethal in Israeli history - the hijacking of a bus and killing of 37 civilians, 12 of them children.
