PA TV: Solidarity rally in Beirut for prisoners honors terrorist murderers Ahmad Sa’adat and George Abdallah
Official PA TV report on a solidarity rally in Beirut in support of the Al-Aqsa Mosque Murabitin (those who carry out Ribat, religious conflict/war over land and property claimed to be Islamic) and the prisoners in Israeli jails.
Official PA TV reporter: “The world campaign for solidarity with Commander Ahmad Sa’adat and the prisoners in the occupation prisons took place in the area of Hamrah [Street in Beirut]. [The participants] called for supporting the prisoners’ movements, and condemned the suffering of the prisoners in their prisons…”
Marwan Abd Al-‘Al, a senior member of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine in Lebanon: “This is a symbolic solidarity rally of the residents of the refugee camps, and [it is being held] in Beirut, of all places – Beirut which shows great interest in the Palestinian people; Beirut which has cared for the Palestinian people, ousted the occupation and opposed it. This is a message to the resistance prisoners in the Israeli prisons, and to the Lebanese prisoner George Abdallah, who is in prison in France. [The campaign’s aim is to demonstrate solidarity with] Commander Ahmad Sa’adat, his friends and all the prisoners among the Palestinian people and the resistance, in order to communicate to them that we will continue on this path.”
Senior member of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine in Lebanon: “This is part of our activities [held over the course of a] week to demonstrate solidarity with the prisoners in Israeli jails and with the fighter George Ibrahim Abdallah. [This is] a broad campaign both in and outside of the occupied land. In the first stage, we are fighting to liberate all our prisoners without rules or preconditions.”
Notes: Ahmad Sa’adat - serving a 30-year sentence for heading the PFLP terror organization. A song at a PFLP event also praised him for planning the assassination of Israeli Minister of Tourism Rehavam Ze'evi in 2001, but he has not been tried for this crime.
George Abdallah – Lebanese citizen serving a life sentence in France for his involvement in the murders of Yaacov Bar-Siman-Tov, an Israeli diplomat, and US Army Attache Charles Ray, in Paris in 1982.
