Fatah official: "Resistance, in all its forms, is the legitimate right of occupied peoples"
“Regarding the recent uproar over [the claim] that Fatah has dropped the armed struggle from its program of resistance to the occupation, [Fatah Central Committee Member Mahmoud] Al-Aloul said: ‘This uproar is completely mistaken. Fatah has confirmed and stated, as part of its political program and also at its last convention, that resistance, in all its forms, is the legitimate right of occupied peoples in their confrontation with their occupiers, and therefore, we have not dropped a single one of the forms of resistance. However, in our opinion, every stage has its own suitable form of resistance, and we have no option other than to resist this occupier, in whatever form the stage demands. Now, at this stage, popular resistance is the appropriate form, and at each stage, we will examine which form of struggle is best suited to it.’”
