Japan contributes $62.2 million (including funds from the World Bank, UNRWA, UNDP and UNICEF) to the PA
“The Government of Japan has decided to contribute 62 million dollars to the Palestinian people. This contribution is one of the forms of Japanese aid to the peace talks between the two sides, for the purpose of establishing a just, inclusive and sustainable peace in the future, based on the two-state principle.
This new Japanese contribution, which amounts to 62.2 million dollars, includes 30 million dollars as financial aid from the World Bank, 16 million dollars as aid to the refugees via UNRWA, 12.6 million to support infrastructure via the UNDP and 3.6 million [in aid] via UNICEF.”
