Islamic-Christian Council: Israel plans to build "the alleged Temple on the ruins of the [Al-Aqsa Mosque”

“The Islamic-Christian Council for Jerusalem and the Holy Sites warned of the Knesset [Israeli parliament] decision to form a subcommittee to examine the degree of applicability of the Israeli government’s decision to allow settlers to go up to the Al-Aqsa Mosque for three and a half hours each day, especially during the holiday of Passover. The council noted that this move comes as part of the present Israeli plan to divide the Al-Aqsa Mosque between Muslims and Jews and to extend Jewish control over it. In addition, it [the Council] warned that Israel may create facts on the ground by dividing the Al-Aqsa Mosque similarly to the [way it did the] Ibrahimi Mosque (Cave of the Patriarchs) in Hebron, an action that would signify the start of the realization of the narrative of the alleged Temple on the ruins of the Mosque.”
