EU donated 200 million Euros a year to help pay salaries for PA civil employees
Official PA TV program The Economic Tour hosted EU Communication and Information Officer Shadi Othman.
EU Communication and Information Officer Shadi Othman: “First of all, the EU, [as part of] its relations with the Palestinian Authority, grants [the PA] a fixed annual amount to help pay salaries and pensions. In the last three years this has been around 200 million Euros a year, to help pay the salaries and pensions of Palestinian state employees, both in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.”
Note: Any financial assistance given to the Palestinian Authority frees up other funds to be used for supporting terror and paying terrorist salaries, as Palestinian Media Watch has documented. Therefore, any financial assistance given to the PA that is not conditioned on the cessation of incitement indirectly funds terror and hate promotion.
