PA honors 20 prisoners serving life terms with school ceremony and student performance
“The Al-Shaymaa High School in the Qalqilya district marked Prisoners’ Day yesterday morning [April 4, 2014] with a festive rally [held by] the Education Administration in cooperation with the Administration for Prisoners’ and Released [Prisoners’] Affairs and the [PA-funded] Prisoners’ Club, during which 20 prisoners sentenced for life were honored.
The rally was attended by Qalqilya District Governor Rafe' Rawajbeh, Qalqilya regional Commander Muhammad Abu Al-Haifa, Qalqilya Mayor Othman Daoud, Education Administration Director Yusuf Odeh, Deputy Director of the Teachers’ Association Na'im Al-Ashqar, the directors of the civil and security establishments and prisoners’ families…
The director of the Education Administration thanked the principal, teachers and students of the Al-Shaymaa School and all of the Administration’s schools who marked this event with morning ceremonies and with the reading of a letter of solidarity from the Ministry of Education to the prisoners on Palestinian Prisoners’ Day.”
