Senior PA ministers: No negotiations and no peace unless all terrorists released
“[Palestinian] Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah participated in the weekly sit-down strike held by the prisoners’ families in front of the Red Cross headquarters in Tulkarem yesterday [May 6, 2014].
Hamdallah asserted that President Mahmoud Abbas will not resume negotiations unless all prisoners are released from the occupation prisons. He emphasized that peace will never be established with the occupation entity unless the prisons are emptied, and unless Israel fully withdraws from the 1967 borders…
Minister of Prisoners’ Affairs Issa Karake… emphasized that the prisoners’ issue is not a small and insignificant issue subject to Israel’s mood and racism, but a central and fundamental issue for the Palestinian people. Therefore, it would be impossible to negotiate with the occupation entity unless this matter is dealt with in a serious manner and unless all the prisoners are released.”
