PA Ministry of Culture teaches kids not to recognize Israel
“The [PA] Ministry of Culture in Tulkarem organized a screening of several documentary films to mark the 66th anniversary of the Nakba (i.e., ‘the catastrophe,’ Palestinian term for the establishment of the State of Israel) at the Al -Fadeliyah High School for Boys, in the presence of Culture Ministry Bureau Chief Muntasir Al-Kam and school principal Muhammad Abd Al-Latif.
[School principal] Abd Al-Latif said: ‘This anniversary proves to us that the refugee camps are temporary and that we will return to the places from which we were expelled. We will return to our land from which we were expelled when the so-called State of Israel was established.’
[Culture Ministry Bureau Chief Muntasir] Al-Kam noted that the screening took place as part of the [Culture] Ministry’s program to encourage the audio-visual field through the screening of documentary films at various national and cultural events, since these films are a part of resistance on the ideological level, at a time when the Zionist entity’s schemes to destroy the Palestinian cause and steal its history and identity – and not just the land – are gaining momentum.”
