Hamas and PA have same children’s education: “There is no Israel"

There is absolutely no difference between official Palestinian Authority and Hamas TV programming for children when it comes to not recognizing Israel's existence and envisioning a future without Israel: Both Hamas and Mahmoud Abbas' PA actively teach children to ignore Israel's existence, emphatically reject Israel's right to exist, and anticipate its eventual destruction and replacement by "Palestine."

This message was taught three times in the last month on a PA TV children's program, Best Home, and on a Hamas children's program, Tomorrow's Pioneerslast Friday. The joint Hamas-PA message to children is: Israel has no right to exist, its destruction is inevitable, and all of Israel will eventually be replaced by "Palestine."

One time, the PA TV moderator held up a drawing of a map of Israel and the Palestinian Authority areas and said:

Another time, the PA TV host said:

"Who told you we will forget Haifa, Jaffa, Acre and Jerusalem? We will never forget them - we won't forget any of our beautiful cities occupied by the occupation. We will return to them one day. They will return to us one day, my children friends." [Official PA TV, May 2, 2014]

A third time, the PA TV host said:

"I want to tell you, my children friends, that the land that was stolen from us - the occupied land - will return to us one day... (adding later) the Ramle district (i.e., central Israel), our stolen lands, our occupied lands to which we will return one day." [Official PA TV, April 25, 2014]

A Hamas TV program educated children to reject Israel's existence by asking a young girl questions about capital cities in the Middle East. When asked about Israel's capital, the girl made a sign with her hand rejecting the existence of such and responded: "There is no Israel - Palestine." The host responded: "There isn't. You're so clever, sweetie."
 

Host: "What is the capital of Palestine?"
Very young girl: "Al-Quds [Jerusalem]." ...  
Child host: "What is the capital of Jordan?"
Girl: "Amman." ...
Child host: "And Egypt?"
Girl: "Cairo."
Child host: "Cairo, good. Israel?"
Girl [makes gesture of negation with her hand]: "There is no Israel - Palestine."...
Host: "There is no Israel - only Palestine. Superb."
Nahul the bee: "It doesn't exist, doesn't exist. Excellent..."
Host: "Speak up, speak up. Tell me again, does Israel have a capital?" ...
Girl: "There is no Israel - Palestine."
Host: "There isn't. You're so clever, sweetie."

Palestinian Media Watchdocumented another instance of incitement on Hamas children's programmingin which a young Al-Aqsa TV host and a cuddly puppet on the show encouraged a child to "shoot all the Jews."

The following are excerpts of the three episodes of the PA TV children's program Best Home that teach children that all of Israel will be replaced by "Palestine":

Sabrin, young singer: "We are going [abroad] to send a message to everyone, that there are Palestinian children, that we are still alive. Some people abroad think, 'No, they're dead. There's only Israel, there's no such thing as Palestine.' No, we say that Palestine exists, and Palestine will return to us, and there is no such thing as Israel.

PA TV host: "Bravo!"

Sabrin: "There is something called the occupied lands."

Host:"Bravo, bravo, bravo!"...

PA TV host, holding up a drawing of a map: "Alma has brought drawings with her, a map of Palestine - can you see the map of Palestine? All of it will return to us, Allah willing. All of this map will return to us. The key (i.e., symbol of Palestinian ownership of all of the land Israel). It's upside down. All of this map, friends, will return to us. Right, Alma?"

Girl: "Right."

Host: "All of it is ours, right?"

Girl: "Yes."

Host: "Even if they took it from us, we will take it back one day, right?"

Girl: "Right."

TV host holds a map of "Palestine" replacing all of Israel.

Can I forget Arab Jerusalem?"

PA TV host: "Fantastic, fantastic, fantastic! Bravo, bravo, bravo, bravo! Who told you we will forget Haifa, Jaffa, Acre and Jerusalem? I want to take this opportunity to send a greeting to all of our friends in the 1948 lands (i.e., Israel), our occupied lands."

Boy: "From the Ramle district."

PA TV host: "From the Ramle district - our stolen lands, our occupied lands to which we will return one day. We will return to them, right?"

Girl: "Of course."
