Palestinian Authority TV has broadcast a fourth child reciting a poem with the words, "Our enemy, Zion, is Satan with a tail." Last year, the PA Ministry of Culture also invited the Egyptian poet Hesham El-Gakh, who wrote the poem, to perform it on stage at a cultural event at which the PA gave him an award. At the ceremony, a young girl also recited the stanza from the poem that "Zion, is Satan with a tail."
Palestinian Media Watch has documented three other PA TV broadcasts of children reciting this poem.
During the recent TV broadcast, the boy introduced the poem by saying it is a very popular poem, that he is often asked to recite:
PA TV host:
"What poem do you like to recite most?"
Muhammad, creative boy who writes and recites poetry:
"The poem people liked the best, wherever I went, people asked me to recite the poem 'Visa' by Hesham El-Gakh...
'When I was young I was taught that Arabness is my honor...
and that our lands extend from one end to the other,
and that our wars were for the Al-Aqsa Mosque,
and that our enemy, Zion, is Satan with a tail
and that our nation's armies are outstanding.'"

The poem by the Egyptian poet describes what children have been taught by Arab leaders. It opens, "When I was young I was taught...", but criticizes Arab leaders for not acting according to their own teachings. "My enemy, Zion, is Satan with a tail," is one such teaching, the poem states. The poet criticizes the Arab world for its lack of unity, which prevents it from fulfilling the goals it has set.
