WND recaps PMW video of Hamas song celebrating alleged kidnapping of Israeli soldier

Members of Hamas – the Palestinian group governing Gaza the U.S. has designated a terrorist organization – earlier celebrated the alleged kidnapping of an Israeli soldier by shooting off fireworks and handing out candy to people in the street, according to Palestinian Media Watch.

Now, Hamas has released a YouTube video of a song celebrating what it describes as the abduction of Israeli soldier Shaul Oron, who has been missing since last week amid the military conflict in Gaza.

Oron was one of seven Israel Defense Forces soldiers caught in a deadly ambush in Gaza City July 17. Six of the soldiers are confirmed to be dead, and the IDF has no definitive evidence of whether Oron is dead or alive.

Israel has been attacking Hamas rocket-launching locations in Gaza with its own missiles and has dispatched ground soldiers into the region to clean out the sites and tunnels used to transport arms and jihadist fighters.

Egypt had proposed a cease-fire acceptable to Israel, but Hamas rejected it, responding with another round of rockets.

The song mocks Oron, Israel and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

“You retard, you will accept [our] terms and drink from the cup of humiliation,” the song tells Netanyahu.

The song, almost a chant, repeatedly features Hamas members saying, “Hurray, Hurray!”

It calls the “Ramadan victory” a “most beautiful holiday gift,” crediting the “self-sacrificing fighters.”

“Netanyahu, before you go to sleep, go to the toilet. Put a rubber sheet under the blanket and have the potty next to you,” the song mocks. “You think you’re an octopus, Netanyahu, you retard. You will accept [our] terms and drink from the cup of humiliation.”

It continues: “We’ve blown up tanks, Merkava [tanks] and jeeps. We’ve flown drones. The self-sacrificing fighters did it!‎ Netanyahu, damn you, listen to a message that will shock the world:‎ We have a quarter-of-a-million hand grenades.”

PMW reported Hamas TV called its military wing’s announcement of the alleged kidnapping of the soldier “a painful surprise” for “the Zionist occupation.”

Fatah, which was ejected from Gaza by Hamas in an earlier conflict, now is supporting Hamas in this conflict with Israel, which was begun when Hamas started firing missiles at Israeli towns.

PMW reported an Al-Aqsa TV host said: “Joy and particularly good news for the Palestinian resistance (i.e., Hamas). Now the occupation is forced – despite its attempts to hide and not publicize [it], and despite the fact that the Qassam [Brigades'] announcement was a painful surprise for them, and the Zionist occupation looked for all kinds of excuses, counting the name of the [kidnapped] soldier among those killed, and then removing his name and picture – now it is forced to admit that there is a missing soldier in the hands of the resistance.”
