PA daily columnist: US biased “against the blood of our children”

Op-ed by Adli Sadeq, PLO Ambassador to India and regular columnist for the official PA daily.
“What would happen, or what could become worse, if we refused to listen to every American emissary coming in the guise of a mediator [to broker] a ceasefire or renew negotiations – [if] we refused to welcome him or completely avoided speaking to him? American aid is not worth a single day of their bias against us and against the blood of our children…
The US Secretary of State [John Kerry], the unsuccessful and hated mediator, rushed here only after the kidnapping of the Israeli soldier (Oron Shaul). He rushed out of worry to save the soldier who had attacked Gaza in order to kill as many children as possible. This is the US and this is the mediator involved in the aggression!”

Note: The captured Israeli soldier to which this article refers is Staff Sergeant Oron Shaul, who was declared MIA after his Armored Personnel Carrier was destroyed during combat in Gaza on July 17, 2014. Hamas claimed to have kidnapped him. On Friday, July 26, 2014, the IDF declared that Oron Shaul was 'a soldier killed in action whose burial site is unknown.'
This article was published during the 2014 Gaza war as Hamas was firing thousands of rockets at Israel and as Israel was responding with Operation Protective Edge, which aimed at destroying Hamas' terror infrastructure and ability to launch rockets at Israel.
