Abbas' son: In future "we might only agree to one state, and we will insist that it be Palestine"

Official PA TV, Facebook  |

PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas' son, Yasser:
"One final message to [Israeli Prime Minister] Netanyahu: I've heard that Netanyahu intends to continue negotiations with us [forever]. [Speaking to his son:] Nader, come here, sweetie. He [Netanyahu] intends to continue negotiating with us until 2020 or 2030. He wants to wait until no one remains from the first generation of the Nakba (i.e., ‘the catastrophe,’ Palestinian term for the establishment of Israel) so that we'll forget the cause of the refugees. So we'll forget the cause of the refugees. My answer to him is one word. Nader, sweetie, where are we from?"
Abbas’ grandson, Nader: "From Safed, Palestine."
Abbas' son‫:‬ "Where from?"
Abbas’ grandson: "Safed, Palestine."
Abbas' son‫:‬ "Where will we return to?"
Abbas’ grandson: "To Safed, Palestine."
Abbas' son‫:‬ "Thank you. This is the third generation since the Nakba. This is the third generation since the Nakba. Netanyahu should know that he can negotiate with us until 2020, 2030, or 2050. Time is on our side, and [our] right won't be lost if someone claims it. The first generation exists. He waits until it's gone, but we still exist, and the third generation is behind us. And tomorrow, I don’t think he’ll find anyone to negotiate about two states... Our elders talk today about two states, but tomorrow we might only agree to one state, and we will insist that it be Palestine."
