PA Shari'ah Judge calls on the world to “halt the occupation’s plots” against Al-Aqsa Mosque

“The [PA’s] Supreme Shari’ah Judge Mahmoud Al-Habbash said that if Israel will realize its threats and plans of dividing the Al-Aqsa Mosque physically and according to time, the PLO will be exempted from all commitments with the occupation, and will turn to the International Criminal Court and the Security Council to remove the occupier’s hands from Jerusalem. During a conference in Ramallah, Al-Habbash called for the Arab and Islamic nation and the world to act immediately to save Al-Aqsa and halt the occupation’s plots… [PA Mufti of Jerusalem and the Palestinian territories] Sheikh Muhammad Hussein emphasized that non-Muslims have no right to interfere in the affairs of Al-Aqsa. He explained that the time has come for Arabs and Muslims to understand the danger surrounding Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa.”

Note: The “physical division and [division] according to time” refers to a proposed law (May 2013) being reviewed in Israeli Parliament that would allow for both Jews and Muslims to pray on the Temple Mount. The law seeks to implement separate prayer times for Muslims and Jews at the site.
