PA leader: Slaughter Jews in "settlements"
PA leader: Slaughter Jews in "settlements"
PA and Fatah official Jibril Rajoub:
"Our relations with the Israelis
are relations between enemies...
Am I stopping you from slaughtering
a settlement? No one is stopping anyone."
by Itamar Marcus
Jibril Rajoub, Deputy Secretary of the Fatah Central Committee announced that Fatah has made a “political decision” to support the slaughter of Jews who live in settlements:
“OK, brother, here is the occupation, am I stopping you from slaughtering a settlement? No one is stopping anyone... Our political decision is resistance in the occupied territories in order to bring an end to the occupation [using] all forms of resistance.”
The Fatah movement, headed by Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas, is seen by many in the West as a peaceful alternative to Hamas and a potential partner for a future peace agreement. However, Palestinian Media Watch’s book Deception documents that the messages Fatah and the PA presents to the world in English are contradicted by the messages they express in Arabic to their people.
PMW reported that through his PA media, Mahmoud Abbas was seen to be encouraging Palestinians of the West Bank to initiate violence against Israel. Over 600 Palestinians have been arrested since July for violent rioting that included the throwing of Molotov cocktails, firecrackers and rocks. Earlier this month, a Palestinian tractor driver murdered an Israeli pedestrian and flipped a bus onto its side in an attack in Jerusalem. The PA leadership’s response to the violence in Jerusalem and the West Bank was supportive:
“The leadership expressed pride 'in the comprehensive popular uprising of our great nation, throughout the homeland and in its heart, Jerusalem... against the criminal aggression (i.e., the Gaza war).'"
