Fatah spokesman criticizes Hamas for shooting Fatah members: "The rifle of the resistance is holy only as ‎long as it is aimed at the occupation"

Op-ed by Fatah spokesman Ahmad Assaf
‎“We now ask the leaders of Hamas: ‘Why ‎did your people shoot dozens of Fatah ‎members?’ We have a long list of their ‎names, and some came for treatment in ‎West Bank hospitals with 30 bullets in ‎their bodies, which pulverized their bones ‎and flesh and made them unable to move... What was their crime besides belonging to ‎Fatah?‎ What did they do to [warrant] being shot at ‎and being placed under house arrest? ...‎
Did we not oppose this [Israeli] aggression ‎in every possible way? This is our duty, ‎and 99% of the Martyrs (Shahids) in the ‎West Bank were Fatah members, and ‎more than half of Gaza’s Martyrs belonged ‎to Fatah...
Finally, I will say that the rifle of the ‎resistance is holy only as long as it is ‎aimed at the occupation. However, when it ‎is aimed at the chests of our people, ‎pulverizes their bones, crumbles their ‎flesh, makes them unable to move and ‎give, it becomes a rifle for hire [and] ‎highway robbery.”‎
