Hamas publicly executes 24 “collaborators”

“Yesterday [Aug. 23, 2014] Hamas executed four people suspected of passing on information to the occupation in the square of the Al-Khulafa Mosque in Jabaliya in the northern Gaza Strip. Witnesses confirmed that armed men lead the suspects to the square and shot them in the presence of dozens of civilians who had gathered on the square.
The security-related Al-Majd website, which belongs to the [Izz A-Din] Al-Qassam [Brigades] (Hamas’ military wing), quoted sources, which it described as special sources, [as saying that] ‘the resistance has initiated a new stage in fighting suspects and collaborators, which has been named “The Strangling of the Necks.”’…
Two days ago, Hamas executed 18 people suspected of passing on information to the occupation, including a [man] it had been holding in prison for several years.”

Note: This article was published during the 2014 Gaza war as Hamas was firing thousands of rockets at Israel and as Israel was responding with Operation Protective Edge, which aimed at destroying Hamas' terror infrastructure and ability to launch rockets at Israel.
