PA increases allowance to families of “Martyrs” to 1,400 shekels per month

"[Director of the Institute For the Care of the Families of the Martyrs and the Wounded and widow of Abu Jihad, Intisar] Al-Wazir said that the PA transfers funds to 23,000 families abroad – for example in Jordan, Syria, Egypt, and Iraq – and to approximately 25,000 families within Palestine. She added that the PA transfers funds to thousands of wounded. It should be noted that last year [2013] the PA increased the allowances to single Martyrs’ families to 1,400 shekels, with a supplement [to married Martyrs] of 400 shekels per wife, and a supplement of 200 shekels per child.”
