Palestinian football tournament names teams after arch-terrorists Ahmad Yassin, Abu Ali Mustafa, Abu Jihad, Fathi Shaqaqi
“The Tapuach municipality organized a football tournament including eight teams made up of young men from the village of Tapuach [in the Hebron district]. The teams were named after Martyrs (Shahids) from the village and from among the leaders of the [Palestinian] factions. Here are the [names of the] teams: the Martyr Yasser Arafat team, the Martyr Ahmad Yassin team, the Martyr Abu Ali Mustafa team, the Martyr Abu Jihad team, the Martyr Fathi Shaqaqi team, the Martyr Abd Al-Karim Salameh Al-Taradeh team, the Martyr Hijazi Arzekat team and the Martyr Walid Khamaiseh team. In addition, the tournament bore the name ‘Martyrs of Gaza’ to commemorate them and strengthen the unity of our people… At the conclusion [of the tournament], the town mayor [Mahmoud Abdallah Arzekat] thanked the participants and the coaches for this achievement, and promised to sponsor these activities and to take action [to ensure] their continuation. In addition, tournament organizer Omar Arzekat and the executive committee [of the tournament] thanked the Tapuach municipality, represented by its director and members, for sponsoring and organizing the tournament."

Abu Jihad (Khalil Al-Wazir) was a founder of Fatah and deputy to Yasser Arafat. He headed the PLO terror organization's military wing and planned many deadly Fatah terror attacks killing 125 Israelis. This included the most lethal in Israeli history, the hijacking of a bus and killing of 37 civilians, 12 of them children.
Fathi Shaqaqi - Founder of the terrorist organization Islamic Jihad, which has carried out numerous terrorist attacks, killing hundreds of Israeli civilians.
Abd Al-Karim Salameh Al-Taradeh – A native of Tapuach killed in South Lebanon during a confrontation between with the Israeli army in 1974.
Hijazi Arzekat – A 17-year-old resident of Tapuach (Hebron district), shot and killed in Hebron on June 8, 2007, while out hunting with his friends. He had not been involved in any military activity.
Walid Khamaiseh – An 18-year-old resident of Tapuach (Hebron district), shot and killed in Tapuach on September 13, 2005, while attempting to hide during a confrontation between Palestinian youths and Israeli soldiers. He had not been involved in any military activity.
