PA daily op-ed: Jews throughout history specialized in “terrorism, falsification and Antisemitism”
Op-ed by Fatah Revolutionary Council member Bakr Abu Bakr, regular columnist for official PA daily:
“Most, if not all Israeli politicians and writers… view the President’s [Mahmoud Abbas’] intellectual and cultural activity towards refuting the false Israeli narrative regarding their historic right to Palestine and Jerusalem as terrorism, falsification and Antisemitism – [areas] in which they themselves have specialized throughout history. [Political advisor to Benjamin Netanyahu] Dore Gold’s reaction to statements made by the President, [senior PA leader] Dr. Nabil Shaath and [Fatah Central Committee member] Saeb Erekat, as well as his linking them to President [Yasser] Arafat’s denial of the existence of what they call the ‘Temple’ in Jerusalem, form part of the Israeli fear, which borders on horror, of any Palestinian action not in line with their goals and political, intellectual or historical lies (the falsity of which has been proven by modern archeology and research) [parenthesis in source]… The Israeli political leadership’s exaggerated use of ideology, culture and history is proof of [its] political and legal bankruptcy, designed to conceal its failure on the political and public relations level, as well as on the ground. Those who fail have no choice but to use false history to blind the nation, to prove what has already been scientifically shown – today, and not yesterday – to be lies and nonsense: that Israel, the extinct Yemenite tribe, with all its kings and people, was never present in Palestine, but only in its original environment. Furthermore, the Jews of today, who originate from the area of the Caspian Sea and the Black Sea, have no connection with the historical stories of the Bible.”
