Governor of Ramallah: Israel “carried out” a “direct attack” against Arafat, and Abbas faces same threat

[District Governor of Ramallah and El-Bireh Laila] Ghannam said that President Mahmoud Abbas, who is considered the captain of the Palestinian ship, was under severe attack by the extremist occupation government. She noted that the occupation’s threats and statements to the effect that there is no partner for peace are [made] in the same tone and with the same intent that the occupation government used shortly before it carried out its direct attack against Martyr (Shahid) Yasser Arafat.”
