Official PA TV News on a statement by Nimer Hammad, political advisor to Abbas, following one of the car terror attacks in East Jerusalem:
Official PA TV reporter: "Nimer Hammad, Chairman [Mahmoud Abbas'] political advisor, emphasized in a statement to PA TV that Chairman Mahmoud Abbas is making sure that our people is not drawn into a cycle of violence and counter-violence, according to the Netanyahu government's plan to curb the diplomatic and political pressure against it."
Facebook page of Abbas' advisor and Fatah Central Committee member Sultan Abu Al-Einein, following one of the car terror attacks in East Jerusalem:
"Jerusalem is rising up; behold the illustrious and blessed children of Jerusalem lighting the spark of revolution, saturating the land of the homeland with their pure blood and igniting the flames of rage. Jerusalem announced today (i.e., the day Hamas terrorist carried out a terror attack by car, killing two and injuring at least 14) in a resounding voice that it will not accept disgrace and humiliation, and refuses to be subdued. Today, Jerusalem is seething with rage; behold the volcanoes of rage spewing lava in the faces of those who have defiled it, and in the faces of the occupying usurper. The earthshaking reaction came from the heroes of Jerusalem. It began with the heroic Martyr (Shahid) [Abd Al-Rahman] Al-Shaloudi, then [Mutaz] Hijazi and, behold, today it comes from the heroic Martyr Ibrahim Al-Akari. They answered the call of the homeland, the call of Jerusalem, in response to the occupation's actions, to its arrogance, and its defilement of the Al-Aqsa Mosque - and behold their [settler] herds are dying just as our innocent and defenseless children are killed."
Note: Ibrahim Al-Akari - Hamas terrorist from East Jerusalem who deliberately ran over people at a light-rail station in Jerusalem on Nov. 5, 2014, killing Jidan Assad, 38, and Shalom Aharon Badani, 17, and injuring at least 13 others. Al-Akari was shot and killed by Israeli police officers who arrived on the scene.
Abd Al-Rahman Al-Shaloudi - On Oct. 22, 2014, Al-Shaloudi deliberately ran over people waiting at a light-rail station in Jerusalem with his car, killing three-month-old Israeli-American Haya Zissel-Brown and Karen Mosquera, 22, of Ecuador, and injuring 7 others. He was shot by police while attempting to flee, and later died of his wounds.
Mutaz Hijazi – Islamic Jihad member and released prisoner who attempted to assassinate Rabbi Yehuda Glick, a prominent activist working to assure rights for Jews to visit and pray on the Temple Mount, on Oct. 29, 2014. The assassination attempt took place following a conference on establishing times and places for Jews to pray on the Temple Mount. Glick was seriously wounded in the attack; Hijazi was killed soon afterwards when he opened fire on an Israeli police force that was attempting to arrest him.
