Hamas TV promotes violence to “redeem” Al-Aqsa Mosque
Hamas’ Al-Aqsa TV broadcast a filler during its news broadcast with a song entitled “O Al-Aqsa, we are obligated”
The song praises resistance and self-sacrifice for the Al-Aqsa Mosque, and is accompanied by film clips showing riots and violent clashes between Muslims and Israeli Security Forces on the Temple Mount, as well as images of the car terror attack carried out by Ibrahim Al-Akari in Jerusalem on Nov. 5, 2014.
Song text:
“O Al-Aqsa, we are obligated to redeem you with our souls and blood
(we will redeem you with our souls and blood, redeem you with our souls and blood)
We demand your soil. Woe to whoever attacks you.
(Woe to whoever attacks you, woe to whoever attacks you.)
We will adorn your doors with victory and spray your prayer niche with perfume
(Adorn your doors with victory and spray your prayer niche with perfume)
We are your people and your owners
The hands of each and every one of us defend you.
O Al-Aqsa, we heard your sighs;
in a great rage we came to you
(we came to you, we came to you)
Our hearts love and want you – look:
the entire nation’s with you
(with you, with you)
We’ll yet wipe away your sorrow’s tears
And destroy your jailor’s dungeon
(wipe away your sorrow’s tears and destroy your jailor’s dungeon)
As much as we may suffer for you
We have no choice but to liberate your lands
O Al-Aqsa, we are obligated to redeem you with our souls and blood
(redeem you with our souls and blood)
We demand your soil; Woe to whoever attacks you, woe to whoever attacks you.
By Allah, Al-Aqsa will not be divided, Al-Aqsa has been ours for years
(Al-Aqsa has been ours for years)
The world must know this – that Al-Aqsa’s people number millions.”
Ibrahim Al-Akari - Hamas terrorist from East Jerusalem who deliberately ran over people at a light-rail station in Jerusalem on Nov. 5, 2014, killing Jidan Assad, 38, and Shalom Aharon Badani, 17, and injuring at least 13 others. Al-Akari was shot and killed by Israeli police officers who arrived on the scene.
