Israel referred to as “the occupied interior”
“Martyr (Shahid) Kheir Al-Din Hamdan, 22, from the town of Kafr Kanna in the occupied Galilee, died as a Martyr when the occupation forces assassinated him in cold blood… The police raised the alert level among its forces to 3, the next to highest level, for fear of violent clashes in the occupied towns and villages in the Galilee, especially after thousands participated in the funeral of Martyr Hamdan. These clashes spread to all the territories in the occupied interior (i.e., Israel), as in, for example, Acre, Haifa and Nazareth.”
Note: Kheir Al-Din Hamdan – 22 year-old Israeli Arab man shot to death by Israeli Police on Nov. 8, 2014 in the Arab-Israeli town of Kafr Kanna. Police claim that Hamdan was shot after attempting to stab an officer, but a surveillance recording shows Hamdan hitting the windows of a police car with a knife, and then being shot by a police officer while running away. Hamdan later died of his wounds. The Israeli attorney general has ordered an investigation of the incident, which provoked large-scale rioting in Kafr Kanna.
