Fatah leadership seeks “the cancellation of all agreements” between Israel and the PA
“Fatah Commissioner for Mobilization and Organization and Fatah Central Committee member Mahmoud Al-Aloul said that this coming month would be a month of fervent struggle against the occupation, since President Mahmoud Abbas has clearly said that the current situation is untenable, and emphasized the need to change course. In addition, he [Al-Aloul] noted that the Arab foreign ministers would meet President Abbas on the 29th to discuss possible options. During a conference organized by Fatah and the national activity factions under the heading ‘Symbol and Course,’ held under the patronage of Tulkarem District Governor Abdullah Kamil and in tandem with the tenth anniversary of the Martyrdom (Shahada) of President Yasser Arafat and the presentation of the declaration of independence, Al-Aloul added: ‘The leadership will continue its appeal to the [UN] Security Council to set a timetable for ending the occupation and establishing an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital. In addition, measures will be taken tos deepen the confrontation with the occupation, by confronting all the violations afflicting our people, toward the cancellation of all agreements [between the PA and Israel].’”
