Prisoners’ Affairs director: Israeli prisons intentionally withhold medical treatment from Palestinian prisoners

“Prisoners’ Affairs Commission director Issa Karake revealed that local and international preparations… for the international congress on sick prisoners and their medical condition in the occupation prisons have begun. Karake said that the congress would be held under the heading ‘Stop medical crimes against our prisoners’, in view of the severity of the prisoners’ medical condition… Karake accused the [Israel] Prison Services and its doctors of medical neglect and deliberate negligence in providing necessary treatment to the prisoners. He noted the contempt and indifference of the occupation government toward everything regarding the treatment of sick [prisoners].”
