Police shooting of terrorist attacker was an “assassination” attempt by Israel
“The [PA] Foreign Ministry strongly condemned the Israeli occupation forces’ cowardly assassination [attempt] of citizen Amal Takatka, 20, from the village of Beit Fajar, south of Bethlehem, as a result of which she sustained over four direct gunshot wounds, and is now hospitalized in very serious condition.
The Ministry said that this operation amounted to a premeditated field execution carried out by the occupation forces, following the clear directives of the Israeli government.”
Note: On Jan. 1, 2014, Amal Takatka, 22, from Beit Fajjar near Bethlehem, attacked Yehoshua Lorch, 31, of the West Bank town of Har Hebron at a bus stop at the Gush Etzion junction with a knife, wounding him lightly. Takatka was shot and severely wounded by Israeli Security Forces while attempting to flee the scene.
