Poll: 80% of Palestinians support stabbings, run-over attacks in Jerusalem
“In light of the tension in East Jerusalem and the increase in the level of mutual violence, 80% support and 20% oppose attempts by individual Palestinians to stab or run over Israelis in Jerusalem and the rest of the West Bank.”
Note: The Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research (PSR) in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip conducted this poll Dec. 3 – 6, 2014, following a period of high tension in Jerusalem in October and November 2014 that included riots in Palestinian areas and numerous terror attacks against Israelis. On Oct. 22 and Nov. 5, 2014, Palestinian terrorists drove their cars into pedestrians in Jerusalem in two separate attacks, killing a total of 4 and injuring dozens. On Oct. 29, 2014, Islamic Jihad member Mutaz Hijazi attempted to assassinate Rabbi Yehuda Glick, a prominent activist working to assure rights for Jews to visit and pray on the Temple Mount. On Nov. 18, 2014, two Arab terrorists entered a synagogue in Jerusalem and attacked worshippers with guns, knives and axes, killing 5 and injuring 7.
