“PLO Executive Committee Member Hanan Ashrawi briefed Baroness Trish Morris, the UK Prime Minister’s trade envoy [to the Palestinian territories], on the latest diplomatic developments… During the meeting, Ashrawi summed up the occupation’s unilateral violations, and addressed Israel’s attempts to establish a policy of creating facts on the ground through a race against time; its policy of oppression and the collective punishment it is inflicting on the citizens of our people, in addition to the ethnic cleansing offensive being mounted by the occupation government, especially in the Holy City and its environs.”
