PA Mufti calls for defense of Al-Aqsa Mosque “whatever the price… until Allah inherits the land”
“[PA] Grand Mufti of Jerusalem and the Palestinian Territories and Preacher of the Al-Aqsa Mosque Sheikh Muhammad Hussein warned of the severe consequences for the entire region of the intensification of the attacks against the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the increasing invasions of its premises. In addition, he noted that the most recent invasion had been carried out by a group of settlers, archeologists, and senior officials in the Israeli Security Forces and the so-called ‘coalition of Temple organizations,’ under the increased protection of the occupation authorities. The Mufti condemned the threats to carry out large-scale invasions of [the] Al-Aqsa [Mosque] at the beginning of next week on false pretexts that do not fool anyone. He explained that these invasions were taking place parallel to the preparations for elections in Israel, for Al-Aqsa has apparently become a target to be profited from in the elections, with which to satisfy the Israeli public, in which extreme right-wing tendencies have increased. Hussein called on the worshippers from Jerusalem and the Palestinian interior (i.e., Israel) and all those who can come to Al-Aqsa, to increase their presence and [frequency of] their visits there, in order to defend it from the continuous and increasing attacks and violations. In addition, he emphasized that our people must stubbornly adhere to their Mosque, whatever the price and the sacrifice, until Allah inherits the land and all it contains.”
