The PA stopped paying fines imposed by Israel on Palestinian prisoners

Newsreader: “Prisoners’ Affairs Commission director [and PA Parliament member] Issa Karake announced that the [PA] government has stopped paying the fines continually imposed on the prisoners by the occupation courts. Karake clarified that the occupation courts demand high sums from the prisoners, and that 95% of the sentences are accompanied by fines, some of which are exceedingly high, and which are never repaid (i.e., as opposed to bail).”
