The Mufti of Jerusalem and the Palestinian territories, Sheikh Muhammad Hussein, emphasized during the Friday sermon that the Al-Aqsa Mosque is for Muslims alone, and condemned the policies of targeting the Mosque that are being implemented by the occupation authorities and the extremist Jewish groups. In addition, he urged the citizens to visit it [the Mosque] more often and to do more to protect it, and held the occupation authorities responsible for the consequences of their policy against the Al-Aqsa Mosque.”
