Fatah maps and imagery anticipate a world without Israel
Fatah maps and imagery
anticipate a world without Israel,
replaced by "Palestine"
Official PA TV to kids:
"All of Palestine - occupied Palestine -
will return to us"
by Itamar Marcus and Nan Jacques Zilberdik
Text: "Fatah - The symbol of the struggle - defenders of the national enterprise"

Central to the visual images is the map of "Palestine," used by both the Palestinian Authority and Fatah, which includes both the PA areas and all of Israel, thus denying Israel's existence in any borders.
Text on image: "Long live the 50th [anniversary] of the Launch (Intilaqa) of the Fatah revolutionary. The Palestinian National Liberation Movement - Fatah"

Likewise, the Palestinian National Security Forces used Facebook to deny Israel's existence. It posted pictures of Jaffa, Tiberias and the Negev desert - all of which are places and cities in Israel - referring to them as "occupied" and "Palestine":

Different symbols appear together with the maps. The Palestinian flag indicates political sovereignty over the whole area and rifles imply the violent means with which Fatah intends to obtain this goal. Often the Al-Aqsa Mosque appears in the images to add a religious component and a dove symbolizes the freeing of Palestinian prisoners. Photos of Yasser Arafat, the founder of Fatah, are also frequently used.

Many images or their accompanying texts mention the Intilaqa - "the Launch" of Fatah, which refers to Jan. 1, 1965, when Fatah carried out its first terror attack against Israel, attempting to bomb Israel's National Water Carrier.
Examples of such images can be seen below.
PA and Fatah officials have stated numerous times that they "have not laid down the rifle" and that "all means of resistance" are "legitimate," as documented by Palestinian Media Watch. The frequent use of the rifle as a visual symbol in Fatah's images reflects this ideology.
PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas' Presidential Guards posted a similar image of a map of "Palestine" completely erasing Israel, and with the following religious text:
"Palestine - When I speak of Palestine, I speak of a homeland that bows down to Allah alone, and of undying love."

Official PA TV also promotes maps excluding the existence of Israel. On a children's program, the TV host praised a young girl for wearing a pendant shaped like the "map of all of Palestine" covered in the Palestinian flag - "occupied Palestine, which will return to us some day":
Official PA TV host: "I am happy with Linda because she wears a map of Palestine, dear children, which includes all of Palestine - occupied Palestine - that will return to us some day. Thank you, Linda dear, I love you very much."
