PA approves amendment that guarantees positions for released prisoners

“The government strongly condemned the Israeli government’s failure to comply with the international demands to renew the transfer of funds to the PA… and stressed that the Palestinian leadership would turn to the international institutions and legal establishment in response to the occupation’s punitive measures and the robbing of our nation’s funds. In this context, the government stressed its intention to implement a series of measures to reshape its financial ties with Israel, to encourage reliance on local merchandise and products, and to bolster direct, rather than Israeli-mediated, imports… The government decided to approve the amendment to Regulation 15 for 2013, which guarantees positions to released prisoners, in accordance with its previous decision to approve the suggestions of the technical committee responsible for reviewing the legislation regarding prisoners.”
